Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms among my readers.

Hope everyone out there got to spend some time doing something they love with the special women in their life today. My bug and I enjoyed some time together in the kitchen - something I hope we will always be able to share and cherish.

Welcome...

...to my blog! I decided to start this blog after the birth of my first daughter as a place to share my experiences as a working mom. As time goes on, you can expect to find quick and easy recipes, parenting stories, crafting ideas, and maybe even some descriptions of common childhood medical issues on these pages.

For anyone interested, the title of the blog comes from two sources. First, I imagine many of my posts will be reflections on parenthood and my nickname for my daughter is "bug." Second, my own name is from the Greek origin meaning honey bee and I've often been labeled as a "busy bee" for my hectic schedule. She's a bug, I'm a bug - it just fits!
